How to delete your account
- Open TimeVale on your phone and sign in.
- Go to Settings → My Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Type the confirmation phrase the app shows you, then tap Delete My Account.
The deletion happens straight away. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it.
Can’t sign in? If you still have your email address, reset your password from the sign-in screen and then follow the steps above. If you cannot get in at all, email Contactdotvale@gmail.com and we will remove the account for you.
What is deleted
- Your profile, including your name and profile picture
- Your private events, tasks and notes
- Your cycle data
- Your encryption keys
- Your notification settings and registered devices
- Your friendships, group memberships and invitations
- Your email address and account record
All of it is erased immediately and permanently.
What is kept
- Events you created inside a shared group stay with that group, under its owner, and are no longer linked to your name. They belong to the other people still using that calendar.
- A group with nobody else left in it is deleted along with your account.
Nothing that is kept is readable by us — TimeVale is end-to-end encrypted, and only the people in that group hold the keys.
Automatic deletion
- An account with no activity for 12 months is deleted automatically, along with all its data.
- Old events are removed ten years after the event finishes.
- A note you delete sits in the app’s bin and is erased 12 months later, or as soon as you empty the bin yourself.
Delete some data without deleting your account
You can delete individual events, tasks and notes inside the app at any time, and empty the notes bin from Settings. Download My Data, on the same screen, gives you a copy of everything held about you first.
